Why choose the MSS system Print E-mail

The MSS system (Movable Scaffolding System) was developed by the Norwegian company Strukturas in 1973.

Since then the system has been improved and modified and has been used in several countries in a variety of situations.

The MSS system exists in the following versions:

Overlane, operating above the concrete deck and supporting the suspended formwork.
Underlane, operating under the concrete deck and with the formwork above.
The current characteristics of the system allow it to execute viaducts and bridge spans by concreting in-situ lengths of up to 70m, with a radius of only 250m.

The principal advantages of the system include the reduced weight, ease of transport and assembly, adaptability to different deck sections as well as a high level of efficiency and safety.
